Is work from home making you invisible?

Is work from home making you invisible?

It has been over a year now and soon you are already starring at your appraisals or probably just awaiting the outcome. While there is no doubt that each one of you has put in more number of hours than in normal situations while managing kids, dogs and spouses. Not everyone gets an equal opportunity to showcase their achievements in front of people who matter. Either you have not got that many opportunities to be on all-important video calls or you are not the one who would push their way in making yourself visible. We have all kinds of people, some make a lot of noise without doing much and some prefer to sit quite believing that their work should do all the talking?

Perfection is a fallacy

Perfection is a fallacy

There is nothing like perfection, it is non-existent because perfection is also a perspective. What may be perfect for you must be nonsense for someone else. People can be extremely good at something, because of the passion, hard work and most importantly the repetition, which we call as an experience, they add to their work, but they aren’t perfect. No artist can give a masterpiece each time. Best sales guy does not win business every day, and we the communicators, don’t get the front page for our clients very often. Trying to be perfect is like torturing yourself each day, whipping yourself each time you fail. It is not worth it.
